How to prepare for Microblading

About a week before your microblading appointment, wait to pluck, wax or thread your brows.

A day before, you should avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they can increase the sensitivity of the skin. Also, avoid taking ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, or vitamin E supplements and other blood thinners. And let's not forget: Try to relax!!

What to expect during a Microblading appointment:

Step 1: We clean and numb your eyebrows

Many clients ask us: "Does it hurt?" The answer is: Very little!! Most clients do not complain of any pain, and some even fall asleep during the process! Before the procedure, we apply a topical anesthetic and wait 15 minutes to make sure you feel as little discomfort as possible.

Step 1: We interview you

After numbing your brows, we'll interview you about your makeup routine and lifestyle. Do you draw your eyebrows every day or only on special occasions? Do you like bold and bold brows or soft and subtle brows? Many clients have shaved too much in the past and want to get back to their signature look. During the interview, we will work with you to customize your best brow.

Step 3: We draw your best eyebrows

Once we determine your best brows, we will draw your new brows directly on your face. During this step, we will ask you to smile, laugh, and make different facial expressions. Our goal is to create beautiful eyebrows that match the symmetry of your face. We will help you find the perfect color and shape for your face.

Step 4: Begin the procedure

Once your eyebrows are numb, we begin the treatment. This takes about an hour.

Powder Brows is a semi-permanent cosmetic makeup technique designed to create a natural powder look. A single nano needle is swept lightly back and forth over the skin to build layers of pigment into the brows, creating a beautiful ombre effect.

COMBO BROWS

Microshading is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo service, which lasts between 1 and 3 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle, after its 6 to 10 week retouch. Microshading is a combination of manual technique in which we cut individual hair strokes and manual or automatic shading where we fill in the gaps. Microshading is often referred to as "blended brows" because we combine the two techniques.

Microshading is similar to getting a tattoo on the body, but it is not that deep. Tattoos are permanent because they go to the dermis, while micro shading goes to the epidermis. This is why it won't fade if done correctly, and it lasts for a few years rather than a lifetime.

LIP BLUSH

What is Lip Blush and how does it work

Lips are a main focal point; just like eyebrows of course! Very few people have perfectly symmetrical lips to begin with.  As we age, lips can become thinner and lose their natural lustre and colour.

Lip Blush Tattoos, enhance the natural shape of your lips, giving them that boost of vitality and color. It is an extremely popular treatment providing a flush of colour as well as defining the contours of the lip.  These will help provide a subtle colour boost and create definition, correct medical asymmetry and even camouflage scars.  The final result will resemble a subtle, matt, natural toned lipstick look.

We begin by mapping out a natural border to the lip using makeup. Then anesthetic cream is applied to minimize discomfort. Selected pigments are then blended and deposited into the skin with a very fine needle via a small hand held cosmetic tattoo device.

How long does it take?

Lip Blush procedures do take slightly longer than other treatments as the lips are more prone to swelling during treatment. If this should occur, swelling will quickly fade and will disappear completely within three to five days. Expect the procedure to take around an hour and a half to three hours (depends on the client). The colour density will appear stronger than you anticipated at first, but this will fade after three to four days

A touchup is required for long lasting results.  We book our touchups six to eight weeks from the initial appointment. If lips are dark, more than one touch up is needed. This will be decided after second appointment.

Lip Blush and Cold Sores

Cold sores are often called fever blisters. After entering the body, the virus remains dormant most of the time, but, if a trigger activates the virus, a cold sore can develop. Trauma to the lips such as a tattoo for instance would be the trigger I am referring to.  If you have ever had a cold sore, you might get one after your lip blush tattoo. It is advised that you consult with your physician prior to the appointment.  Many clients avoid a cold sore post procedure by taking Valtrex (prescription) or L-lysine (vitamin supplement).

How to prepare for your Lip Blush Appointment

● Apply a natural lip scrub (honey w/sugar) at least 3 days before appointment (2 times per day).

● Apply Vaseline or moisturizing lip balm as many times as possible at least 3 days before.

● Highly recommended to start taking prescription cold sore medicine (antivirus) 3 days before the procedure to prevent a cold sore outbreak.
